One of the most important things to consider when hiring an interior designer is whether or not you feel comfortable with the person you are hiring. This is a person you will be spending a lot of time with, someone who will see every inch of your home, and someone you will give your hard-earned money to, so having a good relationship with your designer will make everything run a little smoother. Since my goal is to be the one helping with your project, I'd like to tell you a little about me before we meet face to face.

From the time I was little I wanted to be an interior designer. I always say that I was born with the "design" gene because I am constantly designing, creating, and absorbing all the information I can find about design. It is my passion.

I spent time learning the design craft at Ringling School of Art & Design in Sarasota, FL. However, life had other plans for me (don't you hate it when that happens?) and I spent many years in corporate America. During those years I did interior design as a sideline business in order to fulfill my creative needs. When my son was a senior in high school I left my corporate position (yeah!) and started Marcia Moore Design. Now that my dream has come true I am having the time of my life helping others realize the dreams they have for their homes.

One of the goals I have for my business is to make interior design affordable for people who, like me, live on a budget but want a great looking home. Your home should be a place of solace and rejuvenation and having an interior that fits your personality and lifestyle is a part of that. A creative designer who listens, works with what you already have and thinks outside the box for innovative solutions can achieve this in your home.

Another goal of mine is to give back. Some clients of mine and I have donated our gently-used furniture to the Habitat for Humanity projects sponsored by St. Louis At Home Magazine. Recently, I renovated an apartment that houses out-of-town actors for The Rep Theatre, another AT Home Magazine project. Each year a portion of Marcia Moore Design profits are donated to home-related charities. The more successful I become the more capable I am of helping others

Whether you live in a big house or a little house, have a big budget or a small budget, I would love to help you achieve the home of your dreams. The start of your extraordinary interior is just a phone call away. Are you ready to have some fun at your house? Call me -
